Tapok - Vintan LPTapok

Experience the vibrant fusion sound of Réunion Island's band Tapok with their album "Vintan", released in 2020 via Kréol Art x BABANI. Originally formed years prior ("Vintan" implies Twenty Years), this album captures the band's energetic blend of traditional Maloya and Séga rhythms with contemporary rock, reggae, and potentially other global influences.

"Vintan" showcases Tapok's dynamic arrangements and Creole lyrics, reflecting on island life, culture, and social themes. Expect tracks ranging from the rhythmic intensity of Maloya ("Malbarésité") to more melodic explorations ("Sanson Zinzin", "Somin Paradi"). A great example of modern Réunionnais musical fusion.
